PADCA came into existence through people “getting involved” back in 1948.The need for you, as a member of today’s public, to continue to “get involved” is still as vital to the strength and growth of PADCA as it was all those years ago.

PADCA is a voluntary association, a registered NPO with PBO status, with the authority to issue Section 18A receipts for donations which support the welfare arm of our services. The governance and policy decisions for the organisation are vested in the PADCA General Committee comprising 10 elected members serving in a voluntary capacity. PADCA’s objectives are:

  • to relieve distress amongst senior citizens,
  • to advocate on behalf of seniors who are vulnerable and marginalised and
  • to provide suitable accommodation and care.

By “Getting Involved” you can help ensure these important objectives are fully met.
