PADCA JLS MILE CREATES SENSE OF COMMUNITY AMONGST PMB SENIORS!

Held on the Maritzburg College Barns Field, the sixth PADCA JLS Mile was enjoyed by senior citizens from in and around Pietermaritzburg on the 16th May. The day promoted active aging and, regardless of physical ability, everyone was included. On the 3.5km and 7km walks, Capitol Caterers and Select Care Services kept everyone refreshed with water. J Leslie Smith & Company did a phenomenal job of helping with registration and welcoming walkers home at the main finish line. Mosaic Funeral Group encouraged those participating in the 1km race. Hayfields Pharmacy and KZN Private Ambulance completed health checks for all who wanted them. The giant gardens games by CHC Catering and the tea garden by Heather were enjoyed by all! DJ Worx kept us dancing with great music. The Traffic Department ensured all our walkers were safe and were so friendly!

Trevor Clowes, PADCA CEO commented “There was a sense of community spirit shared amongst all involved and we thank our generous sponsors for their hands-on efforts leading up to and including the morning, they truly made all our Pietermaritzburg seniors feel loved!”

Thanks is given too to all the businesses who sponsored and got involved in the day.
